ABUTILON RISBURY

Risbury is a village in Herefordshire. It’s also a very nice abutilon whose slightly flared orange flowers with marked red veining develop an unusually flat form as they mature. It’s a fine vigorous shrub which retains a fairly open structure.

Hardy to around 0C to -5C. Sun or semi-shade. Any reasonable soil. 150 cm to 200 cm.

We originally sourced Abutilon Risbury from the national collection holders: it is a T3 introduction from 2019, named after a Herefordshire village.

Abutilon Risbury is a half hardy evergreen shrub with maple like foliage and pendant rorange bell shaped flowers with red veining in spring, summer and autumn.
