ABUTILON WESTFIELD BRONZE

We’re not sure how Westfield Bronze came by its name, as there’s nothing particularly bronzy about it to our eye. It’s a stunner, though, with its large variegated leaves liberally splashed with creamy yellow and showy carmine red flowers. A strong upright vigorous grower.

Hardy to around 0C to -5C. Sun or semi-shade. Any reasonable soil. 100 cm to 200 cm.

Westfield Bronze was in the RHS Plant Finder for a decade or so from the mid 00s but is otherwise an elusive cultivar.

Abutilon Westfield Bronze is a half hardy evergreen shrub with variegated maple like foliage and pendant carmine red bell shaped flowers in spring, summer and autumn.
