Pure white flowers on a tall elegant plant: Boule de Neige remains the benchmark for white abutilons. One of the oldest varieties still in cultivation, Boule de Neige originated in France, probably in the 1850s, and was being grown in the UK by the early 1870s and in the USA by the middle of that decade.
Hardy to around 0C to -5C. Sun or semi-shade. Any reasonable soil. 150 cm to 250 cm.
We originally sourced Abutilon Boule Neige from plant material obtained from Sissinghurst Castle Garden.
Abutilon Boule de Neige is a half hardy evergreen shrub with maple like foliage and pendant pure white bell shaped flowers in spring, summer and autumn.
