Abutilon Emperor is a tall vigorous shrub with a profusion of deep crimson red flowers throughout the growing season. An old variety, dating back to around 1880, and probably not the same plant as the one marketed as Red Emperor, particularly in Australia. Best protected from frost, so needs a very sheltered site or growing in a pot, which can be taken in if necessary in winter.
We originally sourced Abutilon Emperor from a French grower.
