Abutilon Orange Hot Lava is a Megapotanicum hybrid and sports a multitude of flared and fluted flowers with petals in volcanic orange streaked with noticeable red veining. The maroon sepals and dark stems make for a very distinctive look overall.
Hardy to around 0C to -5C. Sun or semi-shade. Any reasonable soil. 100 cm to 150 cm.
This variety was originally introduced in 2005 by Luen Miller of Monterey Bay Nursery in Oregon, USA. It has appeared more recently in the UK.
