Ventnor Gold is a sport of Abutilon x Milleri with particularly large golden yellow flowers, dicovered and developed at Ventnor Botanic Garden on the Isle of Wight in the mid 1990s. The trailing habit means it ideally requires support against a warm wall or fence. The variety was thought lost to cultivation post 2005 but a plant was discovered ten years or so later, from which a new generation of this cultivar has been created.

Hardy to around 0C to -5C. Sun or semi-shade. Any reasonable soil. 100 cm to 200 cm.

Abutilon Ventnor Gold is a half hardy evergreen shrub with maple like foliage and large pendant golden yellow flowers in spring, summer and autumn.
