ABUTILON KENTISH BELLE

Abutilon Kentish Belle is a popular Megapotamicum hybrid of long standing, whose tall arching branches are decorated with dangling warm yellow flowers with a dark red calyx. Given its habit, it is a good choice for growing against a wall or fence or over a pergola. Known to be hardier than most.

Kentish Belle dates back to the 1950s and was bred by Mr A V Pike, the then head gardener at Hever Castle in Kent.

Hardy to around -5C. Sun or semi-shade. Any reasonable soil. 150 cm to 200 cm.

Abutilon Kentish Belle is a half hardy evergreen shrub with maple like foliage and pendant warm yellow flowers in spring, summer and autumn.
