ABUTILON PHOEBE

And now for something very special. Abutilon Phoebe is an upright, elegant and free flowering cultivar boasting flowers that are a stunning high gloss carmine red with remarkably long pointed deep russet calyces. It is an exceptional variety in anyone’s book.

Hardy to around 0C to -5C. Sun or semi-shade. Any reasonable soil. 150 cm to 180 cm.

We originally sourced Abutilon Phoebe via the Plant Heritage plant exchange: it is a T3 introduction developed as a sport of their cultivar Rosanna Gill.

Abutilon Phoebe is a half hardy evergreen shrub with maple like foliage and pendant carmine red bell shaped flowers in spring, summer and autumn.
