ABUTILON PICTUM THOMPSONII
Abutilon Pictum var. Thompsonii has as its principal characteristic divided dark green foliage conspicuously mottled and splashed with creamy yellow variegation, among which hang open bell shaped salmon pink blooms. Not a particularly prolific bloomer, but the foliage makes up for that.
An old and popular variety, dating back to at least the 1860s. There was a double flowered form introduced in the late 19th century, now seemingly lost to cultivation. You can read more about that here.
Hardy to around 0C to -5C. Sun or semi-shade. Any reasonable soil. 150 to 200 cm.
Abutilon Pictum Thompsonii is a half hardy evergreen shrub with variegated foliage and pendant salmon pink bell shaped flowers in spring, summer and autumn.
